Where the probe is

Patient's arm

Drag the probe to slide it · drag the ring around it (or scroll over it) to rotate · drag anywhere else to turn the view · double-click the skin to put the probe there · scroll to zoom.

Tap anything on the image

You'll get its name, how it looks on ultrasound, and why. Tap a bright line between two muscles to see which fascial plane it is.

On the image: drag to slide · tap to identify · twist two fingers to rotate the probe · move two fingers together to tilt · pinch for depth. In 3D: drag to turn · pinch to zoom · double-tap the skin to place the probe.

On the image: drag to slide · scroll to rotate the probe · Shift + scroll for heel–toe, Alt + scroll for side tilt · drag the Gain (left) and Depth (right) bars · click anything to identify it. After sliding, press Long axis or Short axis to line back up with the tendon.

Patient

Teaching models, simplified from published descriptions. Not real patients.

Guided shoulder exam

Runs the standard exam from biceps to the posterior cuff. It moves the probe and the patient for you, pauses at each view, and ticks off structures as they appear.

Test yourself

Five standard views, labels off, against the clock. You're scored on probe position, probe axis and whether the target is on screen.

Move the probe

Hold a button, or drag the image (the switch above picks what dragging does). You can also double-click anywhere on the 3D model to put the probe there.
